Victoria Way

A very local project, a stone’s throw from the Blue Chyp Head office built by developer U+I and built by main contractor JA Ball with over 310 nr balconies.

The Challenge

The original specification of the building and architects design intent was being value engineered to very narrow and galvanise only mild steel rods to help achieve the projects tight budget.

The building was of steel frame construction and connections had to be designed accordingly.

Our Solution

Blue Chyp offered to Supply and Install extruded aluminium balustrade, that would meet the original Guy Holloway Architect intent. With no visual welds, and blades that continued over the fascia to the underside of the balcony.

These blades were more substantial in profile and gave much more visual impact with the clean lines and crips finish.

With the building being in such a focal point of the town, opposite the international station, the upgrade to aluminium balustrade offered by Blue Chyp helped give the building façade the finish it deserved.
