Friargate

Implementing balcony and balustrade solutions in Coventry’s Friargate business district. This 37-acre area surrounding Coventry railway station comprises 25 new buildings and presented a unique set of challenges and design requirements.

The Challenge

Reasonable small project with a very intensive design, large balconies and the need for 1.5Kn loading, stone flooring, and balustrades with integrated lighting tracks.

Our Solution

Through some very intensive design and extensive coordination meetings, the complete of this project speaks for itself – strong, sleek, and robust.

The balcony systems needed some additional strengthening which is not seen on our standard offering. The added weight and complexity for stone tiles did not cause us issue, and there were fitted with little fuss and an excellent finish.

The balustrade system showed off the full versatility by offering the interaction of a lighting track, whilst not affecting the overall look and important of no seen fixings or welding.
